Composition of Materials Used:
Our products are made using various materials, each with its own composition. Certifications are mentioned where applicable. See the list below:

Fabrics:

• Poplin
  Our poplin is sourced from multiple vendors. All poplin is 100% cotton with an Oeko-Tex certification, except for Spoonflower fabrics. Spoonflower's poplin is sourced from China and printed in the USA using environmentally friendly water-based inks. These fabrics are used in our bookmarks, book covers, and dice bags.
• Organza
  The organza we use is made from 100% polyester. We source it from markets, primarily from customers who can no longer use the fabric themselves, contributing to recycling efforts.
• Terlenka
  This fabric consists of 100% polyester and is sourced in the same manner as our organza (see above).
• Iron-on Interfacing
  The interlining is made from 100% polyester and has the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification.

Charms and Fasteners:

• Chain Clasps and Jump Rings
  All our chain clasps and jump rings are made from zinc alloy, a combination of zinc and other materials such as aluminum, magnesium, and copper. These materials are nickel-free.
• Charms
  Purchased charms are also made from zinc alloy, like the clasps and jump rings mentioned above.

Yarn:

• Boheme Velvet Double
  Our Boheme Velvet Double yarn is from the brand Go Handmade and made from 100% polyester. It holds an AZO certificate, which confirms the yarn has undergone multiple tests and complies with current European laws. This yarn is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified.
• Baby Snuggle Solid
  Baby Snuggle Solid from the brand Hobbii is made of 100% polyester and is also OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified.
• Durable Velvet
  Durable Velvet from the brand Durable is made of 100% polyester.

Other Materials:

• Foam
  The foam used in our book covers is 5mm polyether foam rubber.
• Doll Eyes
  Our doll eyes are child-safe and made of plastic.
• Lace
  Our lace comes from various vendors but is always 100% polyester.
• Buttons
  Our buttons are collected from multiple sources and vary in material. We use buttons made of plastic, wood, and metal. Metal buttons are made of zinc alloy and are nickel-free.
• Stuffing
  The stuffing for our plush items is made of polyester fibers.
• Satin Ribbons
  The satin ribbons we use are made of satin.

 

Risk Analysis

All our products are tested for various properties prior to sale. Below is a summary of the tests conducted:

• Material Analysis:
  For all fabrics not from a reliable or directly traceable source, a material analysis was conducted to determine the type and composition of the fabric. This allows us to identify potential risks, such as allergies to specific fabrics, which are listed in product descriptions. This analysis also confirmed that all our fabrics are flammable, as determined by a fire test included in this study.

• Wash Test:
  All our fabric products are tested for washability and washing instructions. All fabric products can be washed at 40°C but should not be tumble-dried. For optimal longevity, we recommend handwashing.

• Durability:
  We have tested the average lifespan of our products and provide additional care instructions for long-lasting use when necessary.

• Tensile Strength:
  Our chains have been tested for tensile strength. They are strong enough to remain securely around the neck but can be broken by hand in emergencies (e.g., if caught on something).

• Child Safety:
