This past month we focused ourselves on finishing the Serpent and the wings of night by Carissa Broadbent and last Thursday we finally got together to discus the ending. Overall we decided that it was a fun read but you definitely shouldn't ask questions about the plot, the realm or the characters, as the author has an habit for leaving things unexplained. This was one of the main reason a majority of the coven gave the book a lower rating. Aside from that the book did fulfill it's purpose as we agreed that we were entertained throughout the whole book! We agreed that we would have loved to see more of Miche and Vincent, and good luck for the Miche lovers, as she got her own duology!
"Much time was spent discussing vampire anatomy and vampire physiology"

The session was once again filled with lots of laughter, dramatics, the occasional screaming and this time around some interesting yet weird discussion about vampire anatomy. Would vampire's be comparable to mosquito's? ......hmmmmmm
"This meeting was another perfectly chaotic one. With warm tea, and lots of discussions about vampires.
I personally enjoyed the book, I think if you go into it thinking it's gonna be this high fantasy piece of art. You won't enjoy it. But once you go in with a mind of just wanting to have fun, I think you can have a good time! My biggest nitpick was that the vampire itself we're badly explained, (why are all the vampires like super tall? Do you just suddenly grow a meter when you get turned? And where do the wings go, they just disappear in fog?) Overall it was a fun time, not a very well written one but fun haha!"

"A friend of mine was really hyped about this book a few months ago, so I was really eager to start reading it. Though I soon realized that the book wasn't really my cup of tea as it wasn't well thought out in my opinion. But it did keep me entertained so I decided to read it like I would with a beach read. Brain on empty and just let yourself be carried through the story. And honestly that was perfect, I flew through the book and actually appreciated the story for what it was, plain entertainment! I personally wouldn't be quick to recommend this book, but if you love vampire stories and are looking for a easy read, then this is your book!"
